Prior Experience is a pilot-stage software company. You will not find a wall of stock-photo executives here, because there isn't one — there is one founder, Xavier Raphael, with deep data-engineering and statistical-modeling experience, building one product for one workflow, guided by conversations with the people who do the work.
What "founder-led" means for you
- Direct access to the technical decision-maker. Questions about the mapping logic, the reconciliation rules, or the assumptions log are answered by the person who built them.
- Thirteen-plus years with large analytical datasets — ETL/ELT pipelines, SQL across multi-million-record tables, and enterprise business-intelligence reporting in Tableau and Power BI.
- Controlled-workflow experience in regulated environments — healthcare financial services, HIPAA-governed medical billing, and Medicare Set-Aside reporting, where outputs must be reproducible and reviewable.
- Production statistical modeling in Python — Bayesian inference and Monte Carlo simulation, currently applied to exposure-risk analysis as a data scientist supporting a U.S. Air Force research institution — used where it serves the workflow, never sold as the headline.
- Product development guided by interviews with captive managers and actuaries, and a deliberately narrow pilot scope.

Prior Experience is not a captive manager, insurance carrier, actuarial firm, TPA, broker, accounting firm, or regulatory authority. The founder is not an actuary, FCAS, MAAA, CPA, attorney, or insurance regulator, and no page on this site will imply otherwise. The product supports professional analysis and review; the professional judgment stays with the professionals.
Xavier Raphael
Founder
Xavier has spent more than a decade turning messy, high-stakes data into reporting people can defend — healthcare financial services and Medicare Set-Aside programs, enterprise revenue analytics, and most recently Bayesian exposure-risk modeling as a data scientist supporting the U.S. Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine. Prior Experience applies that same discipline — validated inputs, traceable analysis, reproducible outputs — to captive loss runs.
Legal entity
Prior Experience is a product of Sprezzatura Investments, LLC, a limited liability company registered in Florida. Pilot and data-handling agreements are entered into with Sprezzatura Investments, LLC.
